Reinforcement and Stabilization Geosynthetics
In the Tilal Al Ghaf development in Dubai, APEC's integrated solution comprising EROMAT geomat, GRIDTEXTILE geogrid reinforcement, and APECTEX geocells was applied across the landscaped slopes to create stable, vegetated slopes with enhanced aesthetic appeal and resilience.

Tilal Al Ghaf features numerous landscaped slopes and green spaces vulnerable to erosion due to rainfall events, irrigation water flow, and foot traffic. Conventional slope surfaces lacked the stability to support turf or grass cover long-term without structural erosion control.
APEC offered a multi-layered geosynthetic system. GRIDTEXTILE geogrid was placed to reinforce soil and distribute loads. Above it, GCTEXP geocells were deployed and filled with vegetative soil media, creating stable cells. Finally, EROMAT geomat composite was laid to protect from erosion while allowing grass to thrive.
Tilal Al Ghaf is a major masterplanned community by Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai, acclaimed for its sustainability credentials and integration of green spaces, parks, and a large manmade lagoon.
